FAITH AND EVOLUTION

We live in an age of misinformation parading around as useful and true information. To the uninitiated, this is gospel truth because some Doctor of Philosophy said so. One thing that man hates more than anything else is that he is a finite creature. He wants desperately to be the captain of his own ship and the world besides. The very thought that something transcendent above his repulses him at each and every turn.

Origins are of the upmost importance. They help us to build upon a solid foundation. The Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 7:24-27, "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." A rock is a solid foundation. Sand shifts with every wind that blows by. This is why it is wise to believe that the Bible is the truth.

God’s word states emphatically in Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." This should settle it for us. God is transcendent above His creation. He created it but is also separate from it. Also, in the book of origins, Genesis, it is stated in Genesis 1:11-12, "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." Here is the eternal law of likes beget likes. This is what happens in reality.

Evolution is the opposite of the Bible. In fact, in every fact and detail they are diametrically opposed to each other with one exception where they are exactly alike in all respects.. Its law is based upon the premise of unlikes beget likes. They profess that life came from non-life. It is an amazing thing that we do not see anything resembling this in our day and time. We do, however, see that if we plant tomatoes, we get tomatoes. We are yet to see any example of non-life all of the sudden becoming life.

Everyone knows that origins are neither verifiable upon observation, nor repeatable as a scientific experiment. It happened before any of us existed. Therefore, we must take origins by faith. There is no other alternative. We as Christians accept Hebrews 11:3 by faith, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." This is the Christian doctrine of "ex nihlo," that is God created everything out of nothing. We do not believe that matter is eternal, but only God Himself.

To put it a blunt as is possible, evolution is a religion that has to be believed the same way that Christianity and the creation are to be believed, by faith. Evolution essentially makes matter as eternal that is it is god, in their scheme of thinking. Paul wrote of these people in Romans 1:19-25, "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." In other words, evolutionists are creature worshipers rather than the Creator who is forever blessed. They believe in only what they can see. They are blind to the spiritual world and eternity.

They believe that the world is governed by chance rather than by God and His absolutes. They choose to live in a world of fantasy rather than reality. They wish that evolution was true. They accept evolution by faith. They are probably more religious than any Christian could ever attempt to be. They seek to justify themselves by their works rather than by God’s grace. They are very zealous to prove evolution, despite the facts to the contrariwise.

They are willing to believe lies rather than the truth. They cannot prove evolution, no matter how hard they try. God created the world out of nothing in six literal days i.e. 24 hour days. They same that everything came into existence billions of years ago, give or take a billion years. A billion here and billion there and pretty soon you have some big numbers. Recently, I heard that scientists believe that 11 million years ago, some creature was extinct that they have found to be very much alive. What amazes me is that they can say with such accuracy the time of extinction when no record of history existed at the time and so many people accept their word as gospel.

They are continually looking for the missing link, when they themselves are the missing link. It takes an absolute imbecile to believe evolution. It is totally unprovable and does not comport to the present world that we find ourselves in. Farmers have to believe in creation to accomplish their living. They know that God created the world as it presently is. Living in God’s world is the only true faith. While evolutionists believe in it their philosophy by faith, it is a false faith.

CLASS ENVY STILL ALIVE AND WELL

The spiritual world has an impact upon the physical world. The spiritual world determines political decisions. The reason that envy sells by Marxists is because their heart is in conformity with envy. Politicians propagate class envy as a means of controlling the means of production. It is their attempt to play god over everyone. It is an attack on private property. Marxists are out and out atheists. They do not believe in the God of heaven. Since there are no vacuums, then they have to fill the void and become god, themselves.

Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines "envy" as, "1. To feel uneasiness, mortification or discontent, at the sight of superior excellence, reputation or happiness enjoyed by another; to repine at another’s prosperity; to fret or grieve one’s self at the real or supposed superiority of another, and to hate him on that account..." Envy is a form of hatred. Those led by spite will act upon this negative emotion. They will attempt to level the playing field by taking away from the productive and giving it to the unproductive through government taxation i.e. confiscation.

In any political system that is representative in form, there will be more people who are not rich than are rich. This means that class envy can be legislated against the rich. This is why the redistribution of wealth has been effective, in this country. The Marxists will always exempt themselves from the system they seek to impose on each of us. They are going to live high on the proverbial hog. They live by a double standard.

What is the root of envy? It is wanting to have what someone else has without any effort on the part of the individual. The law of God has two commandments that stand united against envy, the eight commandment, "Thou shalt not steal," and the tenth commandment, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s." Marxists policies always leads to theft of private property from its productive citizens.

Marxists stand against Christianity. Marxists can only exhibit what is in their spiritual heart. What is in their heart? Envy, hatred, covetousness, and every other negative emotion. They cannot contain their spirituality. They must express it negatively and destructively in some way and form. They try to implement their policies under the false guise of trying to help the poor and downtrodden. In other words, they want to bring the productive citizens down to the level of those who are less productive or completely unproductive.

The opposite course, from above, is the way to deal with poverty. The poor are trained to have better job skills. This means that they will become productive and able to better take care of themselves. Envy forces people to become dependent and not independent. This has at its heart a spiritual base. 1 Corinthians 3:17 makes this clear, "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Christians seek to make the world better through private property. This means allowing private citizens to determine what is best in their self interest i.e. the market economy. Marxists seek what God only possesses, ultimate control through government ownership of the mode of production and causes its citizens to become dependent upon the government rather than improving their lives through their own efforts.

One engenders ambition and initiative, the other kills it. One leads to having a better standard of living, the other to ghettos with all of its incumbent vices. A natural outflow of Marxism is an increase in addictions and crime. When the government has legislated theft, what is the deterrent from thieves helping themselves to other’s property? Marxism is legislated covetousness and theft of private property. This is because Marxism is built upon spiritual bankruptcy. It is negative and cannot produce its intended end. It can only destroy. There is nothing positive in Marxism.

The Lord Jesus spoke against envy in Matthew 20:1-15, "For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. 2And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. 5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 6And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 7They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. 8So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 9And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. 10But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. 11And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, 12Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. 13But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? 14Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. 15Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?" The Lord is using a market situation to make a spiritual point in this parable.

Each of these laborers had made a market contract to work for a certain wage but some became envious of the others and they began to voice their discontent against their employer. The fifteenth verse illustrates the point of private property and the market system of self interest. The Lord asks the rhetorical question, "Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own?" This enforces the concept of private property and the eight commandment. The employer is free to do what he desires with his private property without government interference. Marxists would seek to try to make this seemingly unfair situation fair or equal. They would intervene legislatively and seek to confiscate private property by coercion. They, in effect, are stealing private property by government policies, such as social security and medicare taxes.

The Lord asks another rhetorical question in the fifteenth verse, "Is thine eye evil, because I am good?" In other words, why are you envious of the way that I use my private property? Some of these laborers expressed their hatred towards their employer. They believed in Marxism. What is the cure for class envy or Marxism? The root of envy is hatred. To overcome anything, it must be done with something that is superior. Since envy is negative, it can only be defeated by its positive counterpart of love.

Since envy is a mere branch on the tree of hatred, so contentment is a branch on the tree of love. Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary renders "contentment" as, "1.Content; a resting or satisfaction of mind without disquiet; acquiescence...2. Gratification..." Contentment is the exact opposite of envy and it is superior because it does not seek the ruin of those who do better than others.

Those who are content are grateful for what they have. This is the spiritual attitude exuded by Paul in 1 Timothy 6:6-10, "But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." There are more important things in life than our material possessions.

Material possessions are temporary, they are not eternal. We are to be content with our material needs. Always clamoring for more is a sure sign that envy is at work in the heart. There is uneasiness and disquiet of mind. There is agitation and this spiritual tumult will have its physical manifestation expressed in class envy policies of Marxism. Loving money is to establish it as one’s god and thus, break the first commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Lovers of money are covetous and envious of anyone who makes more money than they do. This will lead them to vote in the Marxists.
